Vehicles up to 68.5 tonnes have regained access on the Bolte Bridge

Vehicles of up to 68.5 tonnes can now use all lanes on the West Gate Freeway overpass that connect to the Bolte Bridge, with strengthening works now complete.

Vehicles up to 68.5 tonnes can now use all lanes on the overpass in both directions – heading outbound towards Melbourne Airport, and westbound towards Geelong.

Drivers heading outbound towards Melbourne Airport should use the two left lanes from the West Gate Freeway to enter CityLink.

It is advised to observe the safety signs and lower speed limits when using the on-ramps.

Minor night works will continue over the coming week.

On the Westgate Freeway, the Todd Road exit will be closed outbound from Montague Street, Monday October 21, until 5am Tuesday October 22.

The Bolte Bridge inbound exit ramp onto the Westgate Freeway toward the Westgate Bridge and Geelong will be closed overnight, from 9pm to 5am Tuesday October 22 to Wednesday, October 23.

Multiple lanes will be closed on CityLink outbound towards the airport from 10pm Friday, October 25 to 5am Monday, October 28, between Footscray and Dynon roads for the West Gate Tunnel project works.
