Set to take place from Sunday March 23 2025 to Tuesday March 25 2025, at the Silverwater Resort in San Remo, Victoria, this year’s conference will feature a special session titled “Empowering People & Safety First,” focusing on the latest strategies and insights to enhance workplace safety and empower the transport workforce.
There will be an impressive lineup of speakers including Adam Watson from WorkSafe Victoria, who will share valuable insights.
“Safety is our industry’s top priority. At VTA State Conference 2025, we are committed to sharing the latest strategies and insights to ensure a safer workplace for everyone in our industry,” CEO of VTA Peter Anderson says.
The session will also include an IR & Legislation Update with Peter Anderson representing ARTIO, Michael Kaine (Transport Workers’ Union), and Gary Mahon (Queensland Trucking Association).
Additionally, Rob Jackson from Rigby Cooke Lawyers and Detective Inspector Craig McEvoy from Victoria Police will provide perspectives on the legal and enforcement aspects of road safety.
Anderson says empowering the transport workforce is essential for the growth and sustainability of the industry.
